Marissa is a licensed Acupuncture Physician in the State of Florida. She earned her Masters of Oriental Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine in 2011 and is a Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture. She concurrently earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Health Sciences. Previous to the Masters she earned her first Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Florida where she graduated With Honors.

While earning her first Bachelors degree, Marissa participated in cancer research through the University of South Florida Department of Oncology and the Department of Engineering, and completed a Bachelors Thesis in the research she was helping to conduct. During her Masters program she participated in an Externship program with HealthSouth Rehabilitation in Sarasota, FL, offering acupuncture free of charge to the residents in the center and significantly helping them with their ailments.

Currently in practice in Tampa Florida, Marissa is passionate about health and wellness and is continually researching to learn more ways to help people through the practice of natural medicine.
